For Supporters

A sustainable solution engaging communities along the East Coast

The East Coast Greenway is a collaborative effort that has attracted more than $1 billion in public investment in its first 25 years. The dream of a 3,000-mile protected biking and walking route represents a commitment to public health, environmental sustainability, economic development, and civic engagement.

Thanks to the generosity of major donors, foundations, corporate support, and our members, we are connecting more people to nature and communities via a safe, accessible Greenway.

Philanthropy that connects the dots

By funding greenways, the William Penn Foundation increases environmental stewardship and watershed protection.

Becoming the Dream: 2018 Annual Report, East Coast Greenway Alliance

We took major steps forward in 2018. We added more than 40 miles of beautiful Greenway segments and hit the 33 percent complete mark. We also attracted more visits than ever — including the first two people to walk our whole route. We honor the friends and supporters who keep this dream growing each year.
